Major duties included, but were not limited to, the following:
As Underwriter, reviewed test cases, pre-endorsement, post-endorsement case binders and files referred for indemnification. Evaluation included income examination, credit capacity, appraisal analysis, asset strength and overall compliance with FHA eligibility and standards.
As AVP of Underwriting, reviewed in excess of $2MM in conventional and government loans daily for eight company branches, two wholly owned subsidiaries, and numerous correspondent banks. Fully delegated to underwrite non-conforming, conventional and government first mortgages, CHFA programs, Rural Development loans, second mortgages and various niche products in accordance with guidelines for 18 investing companies. Additionally, underwrote for private mortgage insurance, FNMA/FHLMC project approvals, and FHA master appraisals. Performed thorough compliance review of all required documents andeligibility consideration. Decisions rendered enabled company to realize increased volume, and higher profits, while maintaining high credit-quality standards. Complete knowledge of Desktop Underwriter and Loan Prospector automated systems.
