Proven successful experience working directly with governmental regulatory agencies, i.e. FDA, USDA OSHA: Chaired weekly USDA meetings. Extensive background in problem solving utilizing "Root Cause" analysis.
As an SQF Practitioner I have successfully led 3 companies to SQF Level II Certification within six to nine month windows.Having an extensive knowledge of Food Safety, Sanitation, GMP"s, SOP's FDA, USDA, and 3rd party auditing requirements, I have been able to analyze exiting systems and quickly modify them into current, User Friendly systems that provide relevant, industry standard systems. These systems have provided superior audit results, built product integrity and ultimately increased sales.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, I direct a staff of a Quality Manager, SQF Coordinator, a Research Tech, a QA Warehouse Tech and 8 QA Lab techs. I also provide direction to our internal sanitation crew.
Since coming on board in December, I have built solid quality Food Safety / HACCP programs and provided clear leadership and structure to a company that was severely in need.
There has been a rapid change in quality culture as indicated by a recent SQF Desk Audit that yielded only 4 minor non conformances. Preparations for a certification audit in mid August are in process and on schedule.
Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, I managed a staff of 15 QA techs at a 700 associate chicken kill/processing plant. Key cultural improvements that I directly implemented were a reduction in NR's and customer complaints over the previous year by building a culture of trust and action that dealt with Food Safety issues from farm to table.

Reporting to the ownership, I upgraded the quality systems and overall quality image of the company. As Practitioner, I drove the the company to Level II Certification in 9 months. Note: Took a better offer.
Reporting to the VP of Operations, I upgraded all quality systems. By providing strong leadership and sound HACCP / sanitation programs the quality image improved. Note: Position eliminated.
Reporting to the Division Vice President, I was responsible for the quality and Food Safety systems of a 600 associate, union food distribution warehouse. Note: Resigned for a better opportunity.
Reporting to the General Manager, I coordinated the activities of the 2nd shift pasta department. After 9 months I was assigned to supervise the quality departments. Note: Resigned for better opportunity.
Reporting to the GM, I was responsible for all quality throughout the paperboard manufacturing facility. I chaired the quality steering and ISO 9000 committees. Note: Plant closed.
