I currently work preserving the local community's history, with the subject of history being a true passion of mine. I studied undergraduate history at LaGrange College before eventually transferring to Penn State to pursue a political science degree. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in International Politics and hope to use my skills learned within the program so far to behave diplomatically in my life and my career. I have studied crisis management, security procedures, and national conflicts. In these studies, I have learned how to mitigate problems fairly easily. Aside from academics - professionally, I am a highly motivated and ambitious individual looking to advance in a stable, interesting, and meaningful career. I adapt well to change and work well under pressure. I am able to meet deadlines and would describe myself as being someone extremely determined. If I set my mind to something, I do not stop until it is completed or accomplished. I am effective at supporting a team and viewing the much larger picture - viewing life and its situations as not just my own experiences but rather appreciating how others are affected as well. To put it another way, I am an empathetic individual who tries to also help others succeed, most especially if I belong with them on a team effort. My ambition drives me, I keep going and continuously keep the end goal in mind. If given a task, I will not stop until it is completely. I am fairly qualified in the career I am applying for, proficient in handling complex customer issues and promoting positive experiences. Efficiency-driven and organized with team-oriented mentality, I am dedicated to customer satisfaction, company business goals, and sales excellence. I have fifteen years of customer service experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments. I have an outgoing, positive personality and have a commitment to developing long-term relationships which will hopefully foster recurring business and guarantee customer satisfaction.
Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors of the Presidential Pathways Tourism Board. We serve to better promote tourism as well as historical education, cultural, and entertainment interests among citizenry in this area of West Georgia. As a board member, I collaborate with several other community leaders seated upon the board. We conceive programs, create brochures, and collect funding to better promote tourism in the area which ultimately brings a wonderful boost to our local economy.
Additionally, as a student at LaGrange College, I was able to partake in an internship for my history degree. My 2018 internship was at former U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia. I designed a permanent museum exhibit with the guidance of Hyde Park and the F.D. Roosevelt Presidential Library. It is, and always will be, one of my proudest accomplishments.
