  • Manages Facilities Usage Department for all after-school activities and community usage of buildings
  • Created online web portal for Room/Facility reservations, FAQ's and online payments
  • Directed operations for 6 large scale events with attendance in excess of 35,000 people

  • (2014) - Provided project management, procurement management and Installation of Modular 6 Classroom Pod addition at upper elementary school. Total Project Cost: $350K
  • (2015) - Provided project management and oversight of Phase 1 renovation of lower elementary school. Total Project Cost: $2.5MM
  • (2016) - Developed RFP, managed procurement, design and installation of full HVAC replacement/upgrade at upper elementary school. Total Project Cost: $1.3MM
  • (2018) - Provided Executive Project Management for Phase 2 demolition and addition of 40,000 sq ft to lower elementary school. Total Project Cost: $16.7MM
  • (2019) - Provided Executive Project Management for the relocation of the School Board Offices to include lease negotations, construction management and moving logistics
  • (2019-Present) - Provided Executive Project Management for the construction of a new 300,000 GSF, $120MM high school. This project consisted of a land sale/redevelopement of 10 acre partial of land (valued at $43MM) in joint cooperation with our City General Governement and Private developers. Project is currently under construction with a Delivery Date of December 2020

Facilities and Capital Planning

  • Develops and Presents Annual Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to the School Board and City Council
  • Member of City and School Division's High School Planning Executive Committee that resulted in the passing of the largest bond in the City's history, $120MM
  • Provides support and data to the Superintendent for locations of new facilities that will be needed in the future to include a new Central Office and another Elementary School
  • Works closely with my team to develop annual replacement cycles for department. This includes Fleet Vehicles and Equipment for Maintenance, Custodial and Grounds

Safety and Security

  • Developed project scope, negotiated contract and implemented transition from in-house Security to out-sourced contractor with annual contract costs of $375,000
  • Manages all day-to-day operations of Security Staff
  • Implemented comprehensive digital background check system for new employees
  • Implemented visitor management system for the division
  • Implemented crisis management training and drills
  • Developed close relationships with our City Police Department and School Resource Officers (SRO's) to enhance security protocols at all schools and district offices
