My own direct sales business, market and sell the products and myself as a consultant and director, recruit team members (currently have a team of 21), network and communicate effectively, train new team members, train materials from the corporate office quarterly to 60 consultants, hit core personal and team goals to maintain top 3% of the company and continue to grow in title. Selected by Dakota County CTIC to assist with the Building Capacity to Create Work Experiences and Competitive Employment Opportunities for High School Students with Disabilities Grant Opportunity, Opening Doors in Dakota County. In addition to assisting collaborative partners and businesses in Dakota County with additional information about jobs, post-secondary training, and career planning, also assisted in planned activities for youth, their families, educators and service providers with the same objectives. The goal was to connect providers, employers, and students through vocational exploration, a post-secondary career fair, employer discussions, and business tours.
Instructed, developed, supervised, and managed student educational programs. Developed classroom curriculum and community work skills sites. Assisted, developed, and supported case managers with IEP goals and tracked progress via a rubric and through observations. Collaborated with an outside agency (ProAct Inc.) to find students community employment, and collaborated with other agencies (Pacer and Tree Trust) to develop a successful class paid internship (C3). Was a para with this district before teaching from August 2006-June 2007.
Worked closely with store manager to build effective teams, create strong morale and spirit in team members. Responsible for day-to-day store operations, employee hiring and firing, and training. Developed bi-weekly work schedules for 30-member employment team, and assisted in setting performance goals. Also was selected to set up and train new store employees in Illinois. Set up and managed (interim help) the Madison, WI store.
