  • Responsible for the Global Emerging Infections Surveillance and Response System and portfolio of initiatives in over 60 countries
  • Implements the Defense Medical Surveillance System: A database containing over 2.5 billion records, creating more than 1,200 annual analytic reports for the Department of Defense
  • Responsible for the DoD Serum Repository, containing over 55.5 million serial serum samples on over 10 million active duty and reserve military service members; repository used for 30-50 research studies annually
  • Established a “Division of Integrated Biosurveillance” to address growing biosurveillance priorities in the DoD and USG with production of many Event-Based products
