  • Notifying legal organizations of official meetings, dates and times and distributing appropriate communications.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the Primary, General and Special Elections including certifying vacancies of elected offices, maintaining receipt of nominating petitions and certifying to the County Clerk of local candidates nominated by petition, determining validity of petitions, conducting the drawing for positions of candidates on the local ballot, furnishing materials for local elections, suggesting polling places, maintaining receipt of election results, and certifying to the County Clerk persons elected for county committee offices in each election district.
  • Attesting to the signatures of municipal officers and officials and maintaining receipt of service of legal documents.
  • Serve as a notary public.
  • Act as a liaison to the public and correspondent on behalf of the Governing Body.
