Summary

I have over 4 years experience working in IT management and lead positions. I have worked 18 years with information systems with various software suites such as RHEL, UNIX, and Windows Server. Previously, I served as Site Lead and IT Technical Manager in San Antonio and currently work as a DCGS-A FSR and Trainer for DCGS-A 3.1.7.3 at Fort Hood. My daily duties entail working with multiple virtualized Linux and Windows servers to interact with the oracle database either through command line, SSH, Telnet, PL/SQL, or bash scripts. I have been a key asset for many of the Army training exercises, both on-site and off-site, ensuring proper data ingestion, data manipulation, and integration of key Army network infrastructures while overseeing the support of n-tiered projects of multi-million dollar Government systems. I have an intimate knowledge of IT architecture after working in a mixed environment consisting of Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Silicon Graphics based Operating Systems as well as a broad array of application servers that include Oracle 11g, Oracle 10g RAC, JBOSS, Tomcat, PHP, and other multi-tier web applications and hardware systems.

Provided knowledge on how Feedpipes works to allow data to be ingested into the database and how to properly configure the database schemas, indexes, and triggers for this data and steps on how to properly configure Safemove for receiving the data from remote location.
  • Key FSR for the 2013 CPX and UE exercise performed by 1st Cavalry for their upcoming deployment this year. Utilized PL/SQL, and Bash scripts to create the necessary Oracle schemas for data ingestion. Ensured proper mapping files were preloaded to all MFWS systems to allow fluid manipulation of data. Worked closely with the S6/G6 to ensure proper ports were open using iptables and netstat. This helped to allow all intended users have access and to ensure proper security measures were in place to include the installation of the email banner software to all DCGS-S P-MFWS as well as the 7 virtual RHEL servers and 3 virtual Windows 2008 servers.
  • Working close with other trainers to add the Oracle training and Bash scripting for the data portion to the current 3.1.7.3 training. Creating a RHEL VM server to emulate the Safemove process to ensure new trainees will not only know how to configure this portion of the IFS but train methods for troubleshooting common issues with Safemove, Oracle, RHEL and Java based programs such as Feedpipes and Jpipeline.
