  • Diagnosed and replaced HHDs, NICs, Ram, Perc Batteries, PSUs and all other components within servers. I have worked with around 30 different types of servers, firewalls, and modems.
  • Rack and stack - from the beginning of setting up the cabinets, running whips and getting power calculations for correct redundant power that will not overload any areas. Setting up the CDUs and configured correctly to the racking of the units in the appropriate space with appropriate labels. Then cabling with copper or fiber (I know how to terminate both), labeling correctly, and finish with cable management and dressing the cables.
  • Decommissioning is basically the same but in reverse, but with recycling and storage, if needed, of old devices. Repaired hardware components on networks, including firewalls, routers and many types of servers and other devices.
  • Inputted all information needed (i.e. SS, asset tag #, device name and type, ect) into our data base. Including all incoming and outgoing devices. From a basic monitor to a server.
  • Made badges, input all information, and fingerprinted all new employees, colocators, and maintenance employees and non-employees.
  • Received incoming mail, and sent out all packages for new employees, RMAs, and other packages that needed to be sent out,
  • Received and built new laptop kits for new employees.
  • Assisted in technical support process refinement to improve customer service and support.
  • Conferred with vendors to obtain replacement hardware or software and escalate more complex concerns. Mostly through e-mail or through client facing tickets, and also the phone.
