02/2015 to Current Data Center and Infrastructure Services Manager Amerisourcebergen Corporation - Corporate | NC, State, As the Datacenter and Infrastructure Services Manager I am responsible for 9 enterprise class datacenters throughout the state of Alaska.  In addition to the data centers I am responsible for the State of Alaska’s Wide Area Network (WAN) with hardware deployed at more than 300 locations throughout Alaska that supports 18,000 employees in 15 different agencies. The infrastructure that I am responsible for includes 3 enterprise class virtual server environments (private cloud) that includes 900 servers and a mainframe. As a part of these duties I am responsible for the direction and supervision of 36 staff members located in Juneau, Fairbanks and Anchorage.
01/2010 to 02/2015 Data Center Manager 22Nd Century Technologies | Boca Raton, FL, As the Data Center Manager for ETS  I was responsible for 9 enterprise class data centers throughout the state of Alaska. During this period I was responsible for managing an annual operation budget of $3M  and capital projects totaling $7M.  Some these projects included the contracting for and the moving to co-located data center space; facility infrastructure upgrades; migrating from a physical tape media to virtual.  In this role I was responsible for successfully planning capital projects timely manner in order to meet legislative budget cycles.  As a part of these duties I was responsible for the supervision of 17 staff including two managers located in Juneau, and Anchorage.
07/2007 to 01/2010 Data Processing Production Manager Lineage Logistics | Hialeah, FL, In the Data Processing Production Manager for ETS  I was responsible for the direction and supervision of ETS Operation’s technical staff who are assigned to monitor the State of Alaska’s primary enterprise level computer center. In this position I was  responsible for overseeing and managing service delivery, maintenance, upgrades and installations at the State of Alaska’s Juneau data center. In this role I was responsible for managing the maintenance  and enhances to enterprise computer hardware at the data center. Other responsibilities included managing and monitoring the physical security hardware, software and processes for the data center. Manage the operational budget for ongoing data center need. As a part of this positions duties I was responsible for managing 15 staff members supporting two data centers on a 7/24/365 schedule.
07/2006 to 06/2007 Data Security Specialist Servicenow | FL, State, In this role for ETS I was responsible for administering  the Juneau and Anchorage Data Centers security software programs by evaluating and assigning security classification levels to data sets, and maintenance of security levels for accounts. This include  working with Computer Associates (CA) ACF2 technical support to troubleshoot problems, implement new releases and products, and fine tune the mainframe authentication and authorization systems to ensure proper operation on a statewide basis. Create and maintain mainframe programs and JCL. Ensuring that mainframe system security was compliant with IRS publication 1075. Responding to audit requests and findings (state agency, legislative and federal). Configuring , deploying and maintaining  the enterprise Symantec Anti-Virus system.  
06/2002 to 06/2006 Data Processing Technician State Of Alaska, Department Of Administration, ETS | City, STATE, In this position I was responsible for performing a variety of equipment operations and other technical duties in support of enterprise computer systems and facilities. This position was located in an enterprise class data center involved with the operation and data production of large scale computing system with a large number and variety of peripheral units. Some of the responsibilities included  console operations, system monitoring of production jobs in a 24/7/365 environment. In this role I was also responsible for training junior staff on  performing of data center operation duties.
09/1992 to 11/1995 Systems Engineer Amdahl Corp. (contractor) | City, STATE, Represented Amdahl Corporation to customers, with the primary account being the State of Alaska. Was accountable for customer satisfaction and conflict resolution. Working closely with the State of Alaska operations staff developing and executing hardware service plans such as the installation or relocation of machines, engineering changes and deferred maintenance to minimize interruptions of the system's operation. Training of State of Alaska operators in the use of computer consoles, software upgrades and problem documentation under a MVS 390 environment. Made presentations to and trained State of Alaska Information Technology Group operators on Software changes. Worked with individuals and small groups to pass on information and collect data. Assure products, diagnostics; tools and services were readily available. Installed, configured and diagnosed complex hardware and software problems. Installed networking hardware (3Com) and downloaded upgrades and information bulletins. Maintained Data Switch Link (hardware and software) IBM PS/2 based and diagnosed problems. Assisted in hardware installation of Control Data Unix-based server and components.
