As Crane Rigger WG-8 5210 at TRIDENT Refit Facility, duties supporting SSBN, SSGN and SSN Submarines include but are not limited to general rigging support, mooring,and berthing support, conducting safe rigging operations positioning large and heavy items to, from and throughout submarines, shops, and various other refit areas. This includes attaching weight handling gear such as shackles, chain falls,wire slings, and etc. to support movements of items by crane or other material handling equipment such as trolleys and forklifts. Support work operations at dry dock, explosive handling wharfs, and magnetic silencing facility.
