Advises students on program requirements. Develops academic goals. Evaluates student’s academic history and education, including transcript evaluation. Introduces students to resources available through the college. Assist students in career exploration.
Works collaboratively with program faculty to develop strategies for keeping at-risk students in class and address student needs.
Provides support for students experiencing family, personal, or economic crises, which may impact school performance. Helps students access needed counseling services, support networks, community health, or housing services.
Develops, facilitates, and delivers classroom instruction on various topics such as time management, study strategies, goal setting, learning styles, career planning, and communication skills.
Consults with a variety of social service agencies in the community to explain program requirements generally, or address individual student progress or needs.
Develops, implements and maintains marketing, recruitment and retention strategies for assigned program. Creates brochures, orientation materials, forms, and documents for distribution and/or presentation. Coordinates activities to introduce students to available community services and campus resources. Facilitates orientation meetings. Makes presentations to schools, community organizations, and other groups to explain program.
Maintains an active case file on each enrolled student. Maintains accurate case notes and documentation. Ensures confidentiality is maintained. Maintains statistical information and summarizes information in reports as needed. Submits required paperwork according to specified timelines.
Collaborate with Career Technical Education (CTE) deans, faculty, and workforce development programs to increase student awareness and completion of college and career advancement opportunities.
Develop, manage and/or participate in outreach and recruitment activities for training programs and provide educational advising and guidance to interested students.
Screen potential students for minimum entrance requirements.
Coordination and relationship building with multiple internal and external partners.
Track budget, data, and grant implementation requirements.
Assist with modification of new and existing non-credit training programs including curriculum development, assessment methods, competencies for completion and student evaluation methods.
Order event and instructional supplies.
Coordinate faculty curriculum development payment.
PCC liaison for industry professionals who want to hold trainings in Automotive Shop space.
Automotive Scholarship Committee member.
Work with Foundation to award program scholarships.
Create and process payroll and Human Resource paperwork.
Schedule events within the Division and MakerSpace.
Hire and supervise work study and casual employees.
Course building and inputting information into Banner.
Supervises division purchases.
Monitoring general and 4fund budgets.
Process travel and training registration paperwork.
Purchase division supplies and equipment.
Create and process requisitions and direct pays.
Order catering for meetings and events.
Attend department and advisory meetings.
Administrative support for Oregon Department of Education Grants.
