Flexibility, patience, hard work, and open-mindedness are all characteristics of my personality.
I have had several hands-on experiences in the fields of psychology (psychiatric hospital setting) and education (school setting) working with all age groups and having different needs that were context dependent to be catered for.
Throughout the process of my internships and training, I had to employ critical thinking skills to face any challenges that might have come up as well as being ethical and confidential. This is not only throughout my internships but also my life in general because I believe that confidentiality and being ethical are a way of life that gets implemented in clinical practice.

During my Training in Saydet Zgharta hospital (total of training 150 hours), I observed a psychologist's intake interview, assessment of several psychological tests and psychosocial and psychoeducational interventions as well as the psychiatrist's psychopharmacological interventions and diagnostic interview.
Tutoring a 5-year-old boy with language delay that lead to a broad developmental delay. I was responsible for teaching him to write (holding pen, tracing, etc.), count and work of fine and gross motor skills, and how to pronounce different letters and words in Arabic, English and French. Great progress was accomplished to the point where tutoring services were no longer needed.
Observation of psychoeducational and psychosocial interventions as well as educational interventions (including IEP). Also, taking part in field trips for hands-on experiences for the students as well as summer planning for the school year.
The Psychology program adopts a multidisciplinary approach and brings into play theories from biology, developmental and social psychology, psychoanalysis and positive psychology to explore the dynamics of development, adaptation, well-being and mental health.
Theories are examined within a comparative framework that elucidates their basic concepts, history, variants and applications. Courses offered by the department incorporate a significant practical element allowing students to build a deeper understanding of the reality of the studied phenomena.
The Education program aims to prepare students to become leaders in the field of education using an interdisciplinary and transformational approach to teaching and learning. The program's philosophy of education is based on progressive active learning theories and critical inquiry. Curricular reform is based on research embedded decision-making practices. Through civic engagement and community outreach initiatives, our programs promote inclusion, social justice and empowerment in education.

The workshop's aim was to understand gender roles construction and to differentiate between facts and misconceptions related to sexuality. It also tackled the effects of discrimination and stigmatization on mental health.
The symposium "Teach with a Twist: Empowering ALL Students in Your Classroom" on inclusion and empowerment of all students was then followed by a workshop on "Cultivating an Inclusive Classroom".
The workshop "Neuropsychological Intervention Across the Adult Life Span"showcased different interventions targeting neuropsychological symptoms resulting from strokes.
It also highlighted the importance of focusing on the needs of the person going through neuropsychological changes rather than only focusing on his behavioral and personality changes.

Our slogan is "Service Above Self".
