Foster Parent Licensure Worker


Recruit prospective foster parents through advertising and word of mouth

Instruct prospective foster parents by teaching N.C. State required MAPP/GPS classes offered on an average of twice per year

Assess foster homes

Conduct home studies

Work closely with prospective foster parents and State Licensing Consultant II in completing the Licensing application process, the Re-licensing application process every two years and the Change Request application process for any foster home or foster parent change that may occur

Adoptions Worker


Provide support services to clients

Work closely with licensed foster parents, children, director, supervisor, agency attorney, Clerk of Court, Assistant Clerk of Court and Judges in preparing all required State forms in completing the adoption process Plan and organize adoption ceremonies for children and families

Make regular monthly home visits with foster children and foster parents

Assess homes for safety

Prepare adoption home studies

Experience in non-agency/private adoptions and working with non-agency attorneys

Staff cases with supervisor and other social workers

Testify in court on all cases

Schedule and organize adoption committee meetings if needed

Foster Care Worker

Travel in State and occasionally out of state transporting foster children to the most appropriate placement
