Experienced Chief of Police with 18 years in criminal justice and law enforcement. Safety-oriented, fair and professional when dealing with public and problem situations. Began career as a member of the New London Police Cadet program progressing from part time Officer, full time Officer, Corporal, and Sergeant. Currently the Acting Police Chief for the Town of New London. Simultaneously, worked in Goshen NH as the Chief of Police for 14 years.
Promoted to Chief of Police after four years with the department as a patrol officer. As Chief of Police, managed staff, equipment and the budget process including presentation at all town meetings since employed in Goshen. Involved in infrastructure development for the town. Dealt with calls from citizen complaints to the investigation of a homicide. Started a citizen award program. Activated an incident command post during a natural disaster.
Accepted appointment as Acting Chief of Police at a difficult time for the Town and for the New London Police Department. Focus has been to sustain the morale of the officers and confidence of the general public. Established a Cadet program; increased training of all officers; implemented a program of video and audio recording of police vehicles and interview areas of the police department; updating policy and procedures; training of three new officers; works closely with Department Heads, Town Administrator, and Board of Selectmen to further the goals of the Town.

Managed the personnel for special highway projects in town. ie round about and four corners traffic slowing improvements. Responsible for the hiring of patrol officers. Supervised the Communications Department: hired and scheduled dispatchers, monitored quality of service to insure highest level of dispatching service provided, conducted staff evaluations. On call officer and managed the department during the absences of the Chief.

Hired to enforce all local and state of NH laws. Received a Life Saving Award. Recognized by the Chief for leading the department in the number of arrests and traffic citations. Took on the role of court prosecutor for violation level offenses. All court preparation and arraignments. Cruiser maintenance and new cruiser set up.
