I have been a cheerleader since my eighth grade year. Throughout these shorts years I have analyzed what it is to be a team leader and how it is to be a part of the team, after all there is no "i" in team. Being the leader of a squad to me isn't about the popularity or the control over the squad, but the opportunity to show your skills to make the team all over a better team. To be a cheerleader isn't to be a girl in a skirt saying cheers for fun, it's about understanding what the cheers mean and backing your team up no matter what the outcome of the game means. I believe I have what it takes to be captain of the MSHS 2013-2014 cheer squad because I exhibit what it is to make the team what a team truly is. To listen to request from others while doing all the bust tasks of being a captain.
