Additional Information

I have dealt with many situations that required calm and controlled measures under pressure. My first child was a premature baby with many medical conditions that included epileptic seizures. I was an eye witness of a car accident last week where I grabbed gloves and mask and kept the victim stabilized until the police and EMTs arrived. All parties were shocked that I was so calm and asked the right questions for information and then gave my statement.

Due to my past training, I am called upon by the ED and the fellow coworkers to deal with stressful situations with the residents and/or family members. Also, for instance, during a tornado warning the staff and residents were in panic mode. I took control and got everyone downstairs and the drama and stress were reduced. Assignments were issued for each staff member as to what they needed to do and all staff and residents were accounted for and afterward, everyone was very appreciative because I was told multiple times that they didn't know what to do.
