My family was poor, just like many other Vietnamese families. I have five sisters and one brother, and I am the youngest child. I came from a working-class family. My parents were poor farmers and were not highly educated. However, they always placed a high priority on the education of their children and never allowed their children to quit school. They worked extremely hard to afford education for us and provide us a comfortable life possible in harsh living conditions.
My parents sacrificed their present for our future because they always hoped that their children would have a better life. In 2013, they moved to America, where they continue to work hard to help us pursue our dreams. The first few years were very difficult for my family to adapt to a new environment. We started our lives here from scratch. My parents had to work multiple jobs to make ends meet. I spoke no English and had no friends at the time, and that resulted in me feeling isolated and frustrated at first. However, growing up with hardships has taught me how to work hard and helped me become more resilient. Also, my parent's sacrifices for me, and my passion for nursing have kept me motivated to overcome all the obstacles.
My passion for nursing stems from witnessing people in my village had to suffer from so much unnecessary death and pain. My miserable memories from my early childhood have profoundly influenced the development of my personality and helped me build deep empathy and compassion for the unfortunates. I have an aspiration to dedicate my life to helping people through their vulnerable moments and make a difference in the lives of others.
I understand that the pursuit of my dream is a difficult journey, not only throughout my education but also will extend into my career. Therefore, I hope to build more medical experiences by becoming a nursing assistant. I believe that the experiences I have earned from my previous job, the knowledge I have acquired throughout nursing school, and my passion for helping people will help me become a helpful nursing assistant for the team.
Thank you for taking my application into consideration. You are more than welcome to contact me if you need further information. I look forward to hearing back from you.
