BCF Main Deck Cargo Door Mechanism:

  • Applied and utilized ASME y-14.5 2009 GD&T to develop drawings from concepts for 737-800 BCF Main Deck cargo door's main drive mechanism, Pull-In Hooks all their details assemblies and installations.
  • Tolerances such as close ream hole limit tolerances, true position, profile of a surface, Assembly tolerances.

BCF Main Deck Cargo Door Structure:

  • Led the effort 3D modeling effort for 737-BCF Main Deck Cargo Door surrounding structure. Utilizing surfacing techniques, Hydraformed Sheet Metal tool.

Mechanism Guard:

  • Independently Developed mechanism guard design for 737 MAX Emergency Exit Hatch, Kinematic studies of mechanism for spatial integration using DMU Kinematics workbench, Injection Molded Thermoplastic concepts utilizing Ultem, Adhesive Bonding, Transparent Plastic.
  • Consolidated part counts into monolithic part. Design was validated by Boeing Thermoplastic Materials & Tooling group.

Boeing Sub-components:

  • Checked GD&T of reverse engineered Mechanism Components for Boeing Subcomponents group.
  • Conversed with Boeing GD&T experts to validate and understand intent of geo tols.
  • Developed 2 full mechanism simulations using DMU Kinematics workbench for certification conversations.
  • Helped author certification discussion documentation and participated in certification discussions with Boeing Internal Regulators and lead design engineer. Independently worked with manufacturer to substitute EDM for conventional machining for Engine Cowl Latch. Tolerance stackup studies and modifications.
  • Reverse engineered Stowage Door latch. Developed all drawings using ASME Y-14.5 2009. Worked with manufacturing and produce-ability experts. Materials: Torlon, Aluminum & Stainless Steel

Fluid Transport systems:

  • Worked on composite waste duct reverse engineering effort to develop Boeing controlled design from Boeing Specification. Waste Ducts are related to ECS air duct designs, but with a moisture moisture barrier and much more stringent leakage requirements.
  • Assisted in Validation Testing, Product testing. Tooling documentation.
  • Visited supplier, assisted in reviews of supplier process documentation.
  • Assisted in the development of Boeing Process documentation. Checked and made suggestions to supplier laminate buildup drawings.
