June 2007 Ashton Electric started as journeyman electrician. Duties primarily consisted of both commercial and residential electrical installation.
Journeyman subcontractor for Ashton at Delta chemical company. Duties included running multiple shifts to cover 24 hour work schedules. To include daily work for 5-8 guys per shift. Attended and implemented weekly project meetings giving thorough progress reports and projected job cost analysis. Applied knowledge of trade tools and ability to read and follow blueprints and wiring plans to projects. Configured controllers and set up panels for both commercial and residential installations. Inspected and tested electrical systems to identify connection issues and other faults affecting system performance. Created status reports on equipment maintenance and repairs while collaborating with team leaders to advance process initiatives Oversaw projects with crew of 6-8 personnel maintaining, repairing, testing and calibrating commercial/residential electrical systems, components and equipment. Utilized computer-aided design to lay out new electrical systems. Oversaw projects with crew of 12 personnel maintaining, repairing, testing and calibrating HVAC pneumatic and electrical systems, components and equipment. Read and understood technical drawings, diagrams, flow charts and project documentation to make accurate decisions about electrical and HVAC system installations and repairs for each assignment.
March 2oo5, became Electric/HVAC/Alarms shop supervisor. Duties included work order assignments, procurement for W/O, Manage annual shop budget. Evaluated final results to determine quality levels and isolate root causes of any identified faults. Interpreted blueprints, schematics and diagrams of project requirements and initiated appropriate electrical installations .Oversaw 23 electrical/HVAC/Alarms technicians while performing maintenance, repairs, calibration and testing of various types of electrical systems and devices. Adhered to safety protocols, OSHA standards and building codes in installation of systems, operation of equipment and handling of materials. Interpreted electrical codes and diagrams to complete electrical repair and installation tasks. Jan 1995 Started Samson Electric as an apprentice electrician. Enrolled in the state correspondinse apprentiship course. Duties primarily included residential and commercial wiring and conduit runs. Performed 4 hours days and 4 hour corrispondens courses for the first year per owner of the company. Once courses were complete i started commercial installation at Eilson Airforce base power plant where we converted a coal system to pellet and alternative fuel sources. Regularly ran 4 inch ridgid and pulled up to 750 mcm. Learned how to read anddevelope prints .Inspected and tested electrical systems to identify connection issues and other faults affecting system performance. Followed direction of senior electrical professionals to complete safe, efficient tasks. Served as electrical apprentice on high-rise commercial and residential buildings, including roughing for new construction, rehabilitation and maintenance projects. Assisted with electrical installations, including lighting and smoke detectors. Maintained cleanliness and organization of work areas. Helped complete system installations, digging trenches and breaking up concrete. Connected electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems.
