Held the responsibilities of 25' and 45' response boat coxswain, officer of the day at the unit, tactical boat crew member, boarding team member,
Conducted search and rescue missions within the Tampa Bay area along with Ports Waterways and Coastal Security missions.
Assisted in joint operations with government, state, and local agencies on various events in the area such as boat races, law enforcement operations, national conventions, gasparilla parades, and search and rescue cases.
Member of the deck department and assisted in maintaining the ships looks and proper running.
The main duties were Underway Officer of the Deck, quartermaster of the watch, in port Officer of the Deck, small boat coxswain and crewman, main deck in charge, boarding team member, and classified documents coordinator.
The ships main role to patrol the waters around Puerto Rico to prevent illegal immigrants and narcotics from being smuggled into U.S. territories. Along with aiding other mariners in search and rescue cases.
Had to fill in as the first lieutenant and operations petty officer.
The unit was a part of joint tasks with other Coast Guard units, FBI, and local Puerto Rico agencies in planning and conducting seizure operations.
Member of the operations department and assisted in maintaining the charts, logs, classified materials, and credit card purchases.

The ships main role to patrol the waters around the Bahamas, Miami, Key West, and Cuba to prevent illegal immigrants and narcotics from being smuggled into U.S. territories. Along with aiding other ships in re-patriating illegal immigrants to Cuba and assisting mariners in search and rescue cases.
The unit was the first time the Coast Guard had ever tried to have its own deployable response team for certain national events and maritime law enforcement operations. It was a combination of Tactical Law Enforcement Teams and Safety and Security Teams.
Many of the events the unit deployed to were for national security operations and needs.
