Interfaced and collaborated with all levels of management and business line partners to enhance Huntington’s position as an industry leader in the area of diversity and inclusion by strategically aligning diversity priorities throughout the Bank. In this role, I was responsible for defining and executing against the supplier diversity strategy; collaborating with the business units to meet supplier diversity goals; coaching and developing a team of staff members; serving as liaison between Huntington and the diverse supplier community; and driving accountability throughout Huntington’s business segments and first tier suppliers to achieve industry leading goals.
Ensured compliance with equal business opportunity laws, regulations and initiatives while championing the effort of inclusion of City certified and registered minority and female businesses with DPU's procurement process. Informed interested stakeholders of all construction and professional services opportunities, participated in proposal selection meetings, planned outreach activities and ensured timely electronic submission of DPU utilization reports.
Designed and implemented a strategic diversity and inclusion plan inclusive of the creation of system-wide diversity metrics used to measure overall organizational diversity and inclusion effectiveness across a number of measures to include: hiring and recruitment, supplier diversity, and community engagement. Provided diversity consultation to the Board of Directors, Executive Leadership and Human Resources teams on issues related to diversity and inclusion, in such areas as: talent acquisition, employee relations, customer service and community relationship concerns.
