Summary

I have spent the last 32 years working for both General Electric and ABB constructing, wiring and finishing custom industrial grade electrical equipment commonly known as switchgear or switchboards. The job involved using detailed electrical, mechanical prints, diagrams and instructional summaries per custom specifications. The job also involved using various 10 ton cranes on a daily basis to move sub assemblies into place and moving finished product to designated locations and loading them onto semi's/box trucks for shipment. Also involved was using forklifts to both position shop orders for test and moving them for final ship. Also, I have some limited knowledge of SAP computer operating systems used to track down parts, access prints and instructions.

Prior to 1989, I worked as a machine operator at Metromail corporation sorting and packaging bulk mail. Later during my employment their preformed stockhandling duties and running a cardboard and paper bailer.

Safety is very important to me. General Electric and ABB was very good about teaching the importance of safety both at work and outside the plant. I prefer to work in a safe, clean, drug free, drama free, non hostile work environment.
