Summary

I have been working in manufacturing since May of 2003. I am a motivated, quick learner & have held auxiliary positions as well as been promoted in each of my 3 jobs since beginning, almost 13 years ago. I began as a line assembler, moved to function testing & quality control, repair & team leader. I have worked in areas of engineering in 2 of the 3 jobs, and quality & repair in all 3. I am hard working & don't complain unless it is to result in a solution. I am quick to learn & eager to do my best. I am not a run of the mill employee or supervisor. I do everything as if I am building the product for myself or someone I know. I want to have a sense of pride in a job well done, not just a get it over with to go home attitude. I have had great success in boosting the morale of my fellow employees & my team. They know I am not going to expect anything more out of them than I expect out of myself, and I expect a lot out of myself. I have not had the opportunity to go to college to get the degree many are seeking, but I believe in this field experience is even better. I am acclimated to the schedules, atmosphere & demands of the industry & have no doubt that I can learn & do anything that is expected of me.

  • I assembled, tested, developed & repaired the dashboard systems for the Chevrolet Malibu & Saturn Aura.
  • Started as an assembler, my first production job.
  • Became a back up team leader then team leader in less than 2 years.
  • I learned on-line repair & relief. I had to know how to repair the product while the line was still moving & the assemblers continued to do their jobs. It was to be done with very little or no line stoppage. This position also entailed knowing all of the jobs on the line to be able to repair anything. It also served as an emergency relief or utility position for extreme short staffing or bathroom breaks.
  • Worked with engineering on a frequent basis to fine tune & implement changes to the production process.
  • I worked with quality to inspect & sort incoming parts as needed.
  • Responsible for achieving production requirements.
  • Was a main trainer of incoming staff in the area of production.
  • Prepared & maintained repair records, quality records & engineering test method paperwork. 
  • Tested products & subassemblies for functionality, safety & quality.
