I have worked as an Administrator/Caretaker for a group home for disabled adults. My job duties included providing care to four disabled adults. I helped them with all their basic day to day needs such as meals, personal hygiene, house hold work and daily activities. I was in charge of creating weekly meal menu's and preparing food. I made sure patients were dressed, ready and on time to attend their day programs. I also maintained daily medication routine's for each individual patient and made sure they are taken on time and fill out daily medication logs. I handled and monitor patients money/spending accounts and book keeping needs. I have worked all shifts for this company including graveyard and overnight shifts.
I had full time employment and was on call every other weekend in my time with this company. My duties included visiting all the Care facilities in San Diego to check on our Senior clients and make sure their needs were being met. I also walked in and introduced the company caretakers to our clients homes and trained them to properly care for each clients personal needs and care plan. I did assesments and filed intake reports for new patients and potential clients, and filed them into our computer system. I trained our caretakers to use specialized equipment for non ambulatory and paraplegic patients. I also trained employees on how to properly assess new patients and properly fill out intake reports. My position also included some sales and marketing for our company when visiting all the various care centers and speaking to the Admins about clients being released to us for after care.
