I have been working with animals at the agricultural science center at Brigham Young University-Idaho for a year. I have many skills in small animal production and animal care. I am looking to continue to develop my skills in a more professional setting with opportunities to build on my experience.

However, during my time as a student I had hands on experience which prepares me for a job in this industry. I have experience with lambing, farrowing, small animal production, feeds and nutrition, slaughter, and bottle feeding. There have been many opportunities for me to experience many different sides of animal science and I believe that I would be able to use many of these experiences to my benefit in a production facility.

Kilimanjaro Safari Driver March 2014 to February 2016Walt Disney World- Animal Kingdom － Lake Buena Vista, FLDrove safari trucks through a replica of an African Savannah, educated guests about conservation, animal facts and animal care. Many of my job responsibilities included: guest education about conservation efforts for endangered animals, educating guests about the animals on safari, provided guest service and followed safety procedures to ensure both guest and animal safety.
Petting zoo keeper August 2015 to February 2016Walt Disney World- Animal Kingdom － Lake Buena Vista, FLcared for animals including but not limited to: pigs, sheep, goats, llamas, ostrich, deer, turkey, chickens, and rabbits. I was able to facilitate guest and animal interactions, educating guests about the animals, assisting in veterinary checks, bottle feeding and weaning of lambs, kids and piglets. Was able to learn about feeds and nutrition and was able to put that education into practice.
Docent May 2014 to January 2016Central Florida Zoo － Sanford, FLBeing a docent was an opportunity for me to volunteer my services in educating guests about a variety of animals including but not limited to: opossums, skunks, owls, eagles, rabbits, snakes, parrots, chinchillas, armadillos, squirrels, amphibians, and insects. Learned valuable facts about all the animals in the education department of the zoo and facilitated hands on interaction and assemblies/presentations for field trips and school presentations
