Summary

My name is Nancy Grohman and I am very interested in working with young children. I enjoy teaching both reading and writing and integrate art into my lessons. Since Art is my minor, I am quite visual with my ability to use color and draw. I enjoy doing bulletin boards and would be delighted to help with the art work throughout the school.

In fact, I am always open to coming up with ideas and collaborating with other educators.

Even though my certification is N-6, I would love to have a Pre-K or Kindergarten class this year! I hope to have the opportunity to teach in your school in September of 2020!

In 2016, I was the Science Teacher at IS 219 for the entire sixth grade.

I created a portfolio that included a Table of Contents with areas in Math, Reading , Writing, Art, PD's, Behavior modification, Growth, and Student Achievement. The materials in the binder were showcased for the faculty and placed on display for teacher's to use as a model portfolio. Many of the extra PD's I attended entailed Art and creating foldables for students of all ages. One other section of the portfolio contains lesson plans and core curriculums and standards. It also contains rubrics for teacher's and for students. My portfolio shares outstanding bulletin boards with rubrics and student work attached.
