*Responsible for the leadership, supervision, and training of assigned personnel.
*First-line manager/supervisor of maintenance production and technical authority and advisor.
*Establish a work center safety program in accordance with Air Force and Occupation, Safety, and Health (OSHA) standard safety directives.
*Monitor, track, and ensure occupational safety, fire prevention, occupational and environmental health requirements, are accomplished for assigned personnel.
*Enforce strict adherence to technical data and management procedures. *Advocate use of Technical Orders (TO's)/directives, and ensure work center TO files are maintained/updated weekly.
*Ensure housekeeping, safety, security and environmental control standards are followed.
*Perform production and supervisory inspections.
*Ensure aircraft forms, equipment forms and Management Information Systems (MIS) documentation are complete, accurate and accomplished for each shift.
*Evaluate maintenance quality, personnel qualifications, and training of assigned personnel.
*Review and recommend changes for maintenance tasks requiring In Progress Inspections (IPI's)
*Ensure maintenance and calibration requirements are accomplished.
*Develop and manage work center training program. Evaluate personnel, track training requirements and ensure training documentation is accurate on 54,000 items over 200 personnel.
*Review, evaluated, and take corrective action based on quality assurance/control reports.
*Establish procedures to control, store, and manage alternate mission equipment (AME); maintenance, safety, and protective equipment (MSPE).
*Maintain HAZMAT and ESOH items. Ensure HAZMATs are MIL-Spec approved materials. Monitor QP/Qualified Product Database (QPD) for changes.
*Develop a quick reference list of all assigned Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). Ensure Dull Sword reports are submitted for nuclear deficiencies. Ensure section is organized with tools, equipment and material as close to the Point Of Maintenance (POMx) as possible, without jeopardizing accountability and control procedures.
