As an activities assistant at Forest Hills Commons I have had many responsibilities. A few of those responsibilities include making sure the activity room is sanitized, safe and decorated for all activities, taking temperatures of each resident as they arrive, and making sure each activity is happening promptly on time and in a safe matter while still providing as much enjoyment and fun as I possibly can for my residents. Over the past few weeks I have also had the opportunity to organize activities and parties for my residents.
Every day that I come to work I make sure to arrive with a smile and a welcoming attitude. Over the past year I have became very attached to my residents and every day that I am here I feel more at home than at work. It has been an incredible experience.
Working as a resident care assistant in a memory care unit had many responsibilities. I was responsible for all of their care such as feeding, bathing, toileting and monitoring them for twelve hours each day that I worked. I was also responsible for things such as their laundry and keeping their rooms and restrooms clean and organized.
Our memory care unit could hold up to twenty two residents at a time. Each day that I worked I would be responsible for eleven to all twenty two of these residents. This would include up to four mandatory showers and between six to ten loads of laundry that I personally had to complete each work day while also keeping my residents safe.
Within six months of my employment at this facility I was promoted to the Lead assistant in my unit. I was responsible for making sure all tasks were completed properly each day. I was also in charge of training our new employees and making sure they were capable of providing our residents care and staying calm and collected while doing so.
As a service manager at Chipotle Mexican Grill I have many responsibilities. One of my main responsibility is to create a safe and hospitable environment for my staff and my customers and to ensure that I am also only serving them safe and delicious food. While doing this I am also responsible for handling the money flow of the restaurant and making sure our deliveries and invoices are being taken care of daily. As a manager I also am held accountable to keeping our restaurant very clean and organized at all times, meaning the restaurant our office. My job also includes a lot of computer tasks such as ordering products, approving invoices, using spreadsheets, and training.
While working at Chipotle Mexican Grill I have accomplished many things. I have perfected any different roles while working here and have also received my ServSafe in food safety for my management training. This has helped to make sure I am knowledgeable in all food safety practices, rather they be enforced by my company or not.
As a tour guide at Dinosaurs Alive I had many responsibilities. One of the most important things I was responsible for was the safety of our guests. In the entrance of our exhibit we had a busy maintenance road that we had to watch ourselves to make sure our guests were kept safe while our workers were able to move swiftly through the road. Our exhibit is also in the middle of a wooded area of Kings Island so at times guests would come across wildlife and we would have to make sure that both the animals and our guests were kept safe.
During my time at Kings Island I had a few accomplishments such as the hours of training I received so that I could operate the rides of the park. I also received several hours of training so that I could be a certified trainer at Kings Island. After receiving this training I was able to help my supervisors with their tasks, such as training or even leading the shifts myself.
