Compassionate and caring for children with disabilities. I have 20 years of experience in different environments and with a multitude of families. Extremely skilled at building trust with diverse individuals to promote client honesty and growth during recovery processes.
I've been involved in many families of different cultures and religions. Taking into consideration of their needs, the needs of the client and cultural beliefs. Working with kids all the way to adulthood, watching them grow and learn. Skill and time management along with the ability to keep tabs on and safely transport clients in public settings.
I work with children on the spectrum using therapeutic tactics and communicating with families and a BCBA about continuing and changing therapeutic processes. Watching and interacting with the child on a daily basis with mostly routine building activities around current or new programs. Taking the child out into public settings such as grocery stores and parks while working on skills needed to thrive when he is out in the community. Plus new trips when parent and I agree to introduce him to something new.
I have done many workshops and online classes over the years to understand more of whom I'm working with. Kids on the spectrum, brain injuries, incontinence and behavioral therapy are some of the subjects I have education in.
