Don’t be afraid to be a little different and think outside the box when describing your career history and skills. While you should keep to basic chronological format, look for information in your history that’s as interesting as it is useful to company bottom lines.
Google needs to know you’re a unique talent. If you’ve created groundbreaking apps with new algorithms and concepts, take time to describe those apps in your resume. If you’ve invented new ways of solving tech problems through code, don’t be afraid to brag. Google doesn’t just want smart people; the company wants creative people who think in disruptive ways. Show you’re one of those people with you resume.
