Dear Ms. Stapleton,
I am writing to apply for the Laundry Assistant position you advertised at Golden Years Retirement Home. Since I am a hard worker and have two years experience working as a laundry assistant at the Hilton Hotel I believe I’d be a good choice.
My work in the hotel’s laundry department involves washing all bedding linens towels and sheets every day. I have a good knowledge about proper sanitation and washing procedures. Additionally I am very interested in providing services to people living in nursing homes and being able to be a laundry assistant in such an environment would help me feel wonderful about doing something to help. When you contact my references my current boss will tell you I am very dependable always show up for work on time and rarely if ever miss a day. I have a good ability to work on my feet for long hours in high temperatures. I am flexible and often come in when others don’t show up to cover staffing problems.
I know I would be a good fit for the Golden Years laundry assistant job. Please call me to schedule an interview. I have attached my resume and my references for review.
Sincerely,
Tia Petersen
