My main priority was damage prevention. I was responsible for Texas Gas Pipe Lines to be marked before any type of excavation was performed and that can range from personal home owners calling in 811 or business owners as well. After marking the gas line, if gas is in the area then i will input photos and comments about the work performed and submit the ticket as complete so that contractors are safe to dig on my end.
Responsible for cathodic protection on different gas line companies but mainly for Texas Gas Service in the RGV area. I was a helper and worked my way up to foreman and that came with the responsibility of filling out paper work for all work orders that were performed. Magnesium anodes were installed by a cadweld directly to the steel pipe and augered down 12 feet minimum. I have operated heavy machinery such as a mini excavator and forklift and also maintenance the machine such as inspecting lights and tracks and greasing it up for best performance.
Responsible for all crew members and managers on my shift because I was an Assistant Manager. Responsible for deposits in all registers and must be counted for and deposited into the safe. Responsible for food and paper inventory. After inventory count i was responsible to input that information into the system to control any variances if and when there was any. Responsible for running labor on the floor for example if business was too slow i would have to give breaks earlier than usual and or send some crew home to balance out the profit of the business. And most important of all i was responsible to ensure that both internal and external customers were comfortable and satisfied ; internal as in crew and manger and making sure we are working in a great atmosphere and external customers such as our visitors thru drive thru or dine in.
