  • As a member of the plant Leadership Team reporting the S.Texas Region VP, I am accountable for ensuring that resources, administration, and teams are developed and accountable for achieving business goals.
  • Responsible for people and team development, quality performance, cost, service and safety for entire location.
  • Develop and coach Business Unit Leaders, Front-line Manager and Team Members to solve operational issues.
  • Ensure that the continuous improvement process is followed and influence change across multiple teams.
  • Plan,manage and execute an annual manufacturing operating budget $155MM, and support an incremental $60MM for our Warehouse and Traffic cost centers.
  • Successfully turned down cost across the Rosenberg facility by enabling the site to index a 98% $/MLb to prior year.
  • Responsible for the receiving/inventory/management of all the site's raw materials necessary for production of our products (ex - potatoes, corn, oil, film, and seasoning).
  • Deliver effective change leadership program by driving business changes while minimizing people impact for all site change initiatives (expansions, additional production lines, and contract management activities).
  • Facility staffing point - support the hiring/on-boarding of 200+ employees across the site since 2013.
  • Implement, execute, and ensure compliance with Frito Lay Company's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Leads execution of the site's annual Health & Safety Plan, including development of expense and capital budgets needed to support these efforts.
  • Implements safety programs across the entire Rosenberg plant population of 800 to provide the road map to zero injuries and world class performance, plans and/or delivers programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, and promotes plant safety by working with all departments to analyze current situation and recommend safety improvements.
  • Delivering a 75% reduction in safety incidents/injuries across the site.
  • Led the site to achieve its 3rd OSHA VPP Star recertification.
Geographic Enterprise Solutions (GES) Business Unit Leader
June 2012 to July 2013

  • Responsible for the construction and start-up of GES pick center out of Rosenberg, TX.
  • Enabled Frito Lay to change the GTM strategy for the Houston market to a Direct To Store delivery method.
  • Initiated a hiring strategy that has allowed GES operations to retain talented team members and has allowed for a proactive approach to staffing the various areas within the operation.
  • Accountable for hiring and staffing all 40 GES operations start-up employees.

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of the 1st shift Corn Processing and Packaging Teams.
  • The 1st shift team consisted of 3 Processing and 25 Packaging team members.
  • Additionally responsible for coaching and developing the Corn Business Unit Resources and technicians to drive key BU initiatives and their daily tasks.
  • Accountable for tracking and managing the key cost accounts for the business unit.
  • Established packaging room management/expectations for the Corn Business Unit team members. The expectations of packaging room management tactics/expectations were developed specifically to each classification in the packaging room.
  • Coach and support a group of 6 site crewing coordinators to ensure consistency on how we crew our technicians across the site. Created tools/trainings for them to leverage when there are consistency/ policy related issues for them to refer to.
  • Led packaging master line schedule (MLS) re-writes, developing a MLS that would deliver a 6% increase in our overall labor potential. This re-write included changing our run scenario, driving packaging labor performance to deliver $20M to plan.
Potato Chip Team Resource
