This has included interviewing and processing applications from approximately 100+ different applicants. Resulting in the successful hiring of 20+ different employees in four different service lines.

Proactively identified and solved complex problems impacting operations management and business direction. Resolved conflicts and negotiated agreements between parties in order to reach win-win solutions to disagreements and clarify misunderstandings.
I was the prior Coordinator for Group Orientation Visit (GOV) clinic at VA SORCC. I was responsible for all scheduling of patients for initial laboratory draws, their orientation visits, and primary care provider appointments. This includes monitoring individual clinic and general facility access, which overlaps with Electronic Wait List (EWL) management.
I was trained in latest VA scheduling directives, systems, and Veteran eligibility criteria. Created and maintained new tracking reports to monitor the number of patients seen, demographics of patients, and identify flow of access to individual Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACTs).
Inputs all health history information patients provide at time of GOV appointment in CPRS system, including appropriate clinical reminders.
Lead the GOV class providing education to patients about VA healthcare system (Primary Care, Specialty Care, Social Work, Mental Health Services, Benefits, general health maintenance). I've integrated Telehealth process with GOV program to expand availability of clinic to remote sites.
GOV coordinator works with onsite multiple service lines (Primary Care, Mental Health, Enrollment/Eligibility, Social Services, Residential Case Management, Home Based Primary Care, Transfer/Community Care Nursing) and local community services (Providence, Asante) to facilitate access to best pathway for patient care.

Responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and organizing triage bays/supply carts.
Conceived and implemented new organization system for supplies for residential infirmary. This system streamlined process to monitor supply count and created a simpler system for requisition of patient care supplies.
I coordinated with laboratory services a more uniform process for patient urinalysis collection. Resulting in significant decrease in duplicate order process, improved patient satisfaction, and reduced facility wasted resources/man power.
I was a personal caregiver providing assistance with patient Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Prior to employment at the VA SORCC, I was volunteer/work study with the residential infirmary as it was known. I worked with the nursing staff to help care for residents of the facility. My duties mirrored those of a nursing assistant with direct supervision by shift RNs. The emphasis was on patient care from basic clinical knowledge, ability to assist in patient care (ADLs), and usage of medical equipment (Vital signs, EKG, CBG monitor, bladder scanner).
