Current Supervisory Medical Support Assistant under the Business Office for the Specialty Care service lines. This includes being directly responsible for eighteen employees, working with seven different departments, that includes fourteen individual disciplines of care.

This includes maintaining each employees competency folders, monitoring their progress in achieving designated performance measures, conducting bi-annual reviews, and keeping team members up to date on VA policy/practices.

Monitors my team's performance measures through created reports in PowerPoint and Excel to tracking progress with ongoing Return to Clinic (RTCs) orders, Recall Reminders, and consults.

Facilitates training of new MSA staff that enter my service line ranging from VA policy, scheduling policy, customer service skills, clinic specific information, usage in designated VA software programs, and MISSION Act program.

I've been a selecting official for the hiring process serving as designated point of contact and subject matter expert with the HR service line for all MSA related hiring.
