Professional Summary

My target job is one that is in state government if possible to maintain my retirement, however if that is not possible, I would like something in retail management. Before working in education, I had many retail jobs and enjoyed working with my customers and making loyal customers everywhere I worked. Because of my age and the way I was trained as a child, I have a tremendous work ethic that I am very proud of and for which I have received many accolades.

I have been assisting special needs children for 20 years. In that time I have received specialized training on behaviors dealing with Downs Syndrome and Autism as well Spina Bifida ,Cerebral Palsy ,Muscular Dystrophy and genetic anomalies in children. I have also been trained on special equipment for children without speech.

My job has also required other duties as assigned such as working the front office and switchboard, taking children to jobs outside of school and working as a job coach for children with disabilities. Adept at organization and communications skills. Before being in education, I had jobs in management in several retail businesses. I have been a manager and assistant manager. I enjoy retail work and working to satisfy my customers. I would enjoy a position in management but I know that i must prove myself and often earn it.
