Relevant Experience

Conducted research which led to the development of improved screen-printing speed, innovation, quality, and communication with overseas vendors by helping to build a training program specific to familiarization of screen-printing techniques, consistent terminology, and artwork creation techniques. Reduced number samples developed: offered a better quality starting point to vendor partners: shortened fashion lead times by implementing quicker design engineering and complete production packs to develop a better product..

Worked with The Legal Department to install a system that enabled designers to check their graphics against competitors' to ensure that no trademarks and/or copyrights were violated.
Made great steps in understanding cost for various graphic techniques before sampling. By acquiring information from research and development projects, technique/supply/embellishment books and better communications with vendor partners, our company was able to closely adhered to target pricing. Also through my experience from research and development project it had became easier to suggest contingency plans to take in case of cost or fabric issues.

Established a library of strike-offs/reference books for new ideas and technique for future department use. When samples were received I made comments and even made solutions from knowledge acquired from my past printing experience: to get the samples to the level we want it. We expanded this library to include new research / development ideas and printing techniques. This process helped our team stay ahead of each season trends with new techniques, viewed and tested.
