Experience
SAP Business Analyst - 40 Hours Per Week, 06/2019 - Current
Army Shared Services Center, CECOM City, STATE,
  • Responsible for the end-to-end implementation of software development changes to the GCSS-Army systems. Works directly with the customer to define requirements, update product portfolio, and annotate change descriptions in ServiceNow. Directs technical changes and ensures work meets the associated gates in the software development lifecycle.
  • Directs workflow of project resources to meet mission requirements. Oversees the execution of multiple software development changes exceeding millions in budget for the closure of identified competency gaps. As SAP functional, I led fourteen major release and Fast Track tickets since joining ASSC.
  • As Change Owner and Project Lead on ITV, responsible for accounting and oversight of hours estimated and worked by project resources to ensure deliverables stay on schedule and on budget. Accounts for time management and tracks estimated hours against actuals. Encourages resources to upload hours into PWA. When Project Plans are not available in PWA, manually tracks hours on a spreadsheet and works with PCO Team to upload.
  • Appointed Functional Integration Lead due to innovative and strategic thinking. Establishes standards and best business practices to update the software development lifecycle. Created software process redesign documents including the requirements phase procedures and artifacts, integration and cross-functional assessments, and testing and defect tracking standard operating procedures.
  • Highly valued team member who is sought after by numerous teams for subject matter, SAP technical, and software development process expertise. Leads and supports a wide-range of IPTs to determine both program processes and specific Army functionality updates. This includes software development lifecycle process updates, establishing rules for integrated assessments and demand estimating, transitioning testing activities from PMO to ASSC, comparing budgeting tools, reviewing prototype designs for software changes, and updating Army regulation and policies for order reconciliation.
  • Briefs leadership and the customer on the status of current projects during portfolio governance, Bi-Weekly IPTs, and other forums. This often happens with little advance notice and preparation time. My organization skills and attention to detail have frequently been noted by the customer and ASSC Leadership.
  • Works with the Capability Support Branch on creating and updating new process guidelines for resource estimation. I was chosen to be the functional lead for this first ticket tracked through the PWA tool. I was chosen to be the lead on the first use of the Demand Estimation spreadsheet. I utilized the tool, coordinated resource participation, consolidated feedback, and briefed management on lessons learned. The changes have been implemented for the GCSS-Army DMD estimation process.
  • Excels at crisis/critical incident management. Serves as an emergency "FireFighter" to quickly resolve issues and concerns. Responds to Taskers, write White Papers, supports Requests for Information, and hosts information sessions. If not the subject matter expert, coordinates across functional and development teams to build the right working group to respond accurately and within deadlines.
  • Provides cross-ERP support. Works with LMP on the LMP Search Matrix updates. Works with AESIP on DFPS and material master data concerns. Coordinates with US Army Financial Management Command on Finance issues related to ASSC Acquisition activities. This includes Year End Close processing, running MRP, suspending ZAUTOCANCEL, and validating purchase requisition creation and conversions during YEC.
