Quantification of morphological variation in chimpanzee talus bones in multiple subspecies. Usage of spherical harmonics to analyze bone variation. Programs implemented include; Geomagic Design, Avizo, MattLab. Through analyzation of changes in bone morphology, conclusions were able to be made about the locomotor behavior of each subspecies.
Conducted positive reinforcement training on dogs, cats, swine, and non-human primates. Performed wellness and behavioral assesssments.
Recorded bat echolocation and sonar signals in Yasuni National Park, Amazon Rainforest, Ecuador. Calls were collected from Phyllostomatidae, Marmoopidae, and Noctilionidae. Analyzed the data using Kaleidoscope Analysis Software and identified the bats present using cross analysis with scientific literature. Investigated involved variables and completed a scientific paper.
Conducted field research including relationship and hierarchy behavior, and eating and grazing behavior on an African Elephant herd. Monitored the presence of stereotypic behaviors and self displacement behaviors on individuals. Tracked the presence of these behaviors with potential triggers and correlation of stimuli. Participated in weekly dung collection and preparation of samples for later hormone extraction in the on site endocrinology laboratory.
