I am a person who does not like to waste my time, if I'm doing something I give it my all and I try to do it right the first time or learn for the next.
I learn anything and everything I possibly can because I have experienced how knowledge makes my job easier, more efficient and less stressful. Work smart, not hard.
I am very goal based and I hold myself up to higher standards.
As a low level operator I have learned how the basics worked, secondary equipment set up and operation, what the standards need to be for the product and simple work ethic.
As a lead Operator, I walked into the most enriching leadership/people skills I thought I'd ever learn. During this time I learned how to get people to do things with little no fight. I learned that If I helped do the work right along side them, they respected me a lot more. I learned to ask and not tell them what to do but was also able to put my foot down and they knew what I expected from them right from the start.
Snow in my currect position, Quality, I have learned the how the place runs behind the scenes. The more technical aspect of the factory. I have experienced how one thing done on the floor can have huge impact all the way up and how one thing up top can have a huge impact on the bottom.
I enjoy this part of my job, seeing how things affect each other and trying to find new ways of solving it.. or bringing it to higher-ups attention.
I have worked in physical labor, support roles and technical positions. While I do not have know what I wish to aspire to, I do know I love learning as much as I can and maybe one day I'll find my aspirations along the way.
A class offered by my place of employment.
S.T.O.P was a safety class on being safe In the work area and how to open the dialog with other co workers about being safe.
Here I learned how to communicate to co workers in a non accusing or insulting way but rather just to point out when things are not safe. We also had to complete a safety audit each month somewhere around the factory and recorded it into the site.
This class was based off of Stephen M. R. Covey and his book 'The Speed of Trust.'
Here I learned how to keep and promote trust in the work place to create a healthy and productive work place.
The biggest lesson I took away was how my behavior had such a huge impact on how people saw and trusted me.
This class was also based off of Stephen Covey's book 7 habits of Highly Effective people.
Here I learned the 7 steps it takes to be an effective person by self reflection and growth. To be more independent but able to work with others to produce more results and the tools needed to do such.
