• Seek, maintain and report on grants and contracts with private and public founders for over 200K
• Work with company Executive Director to strategically plan HR initiatives that will benefit company and encourage more efficient and beneficial work from employees
• Compile statistical time keeping reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and benefits accounts, and submit them to appropriate departments
• Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, tax issues, benefit plans, and collective agreement provisions
• Establish strong youth leadership opportunities within program, including peer-selected teen internship program and youth-led advisory council
• Hire, train and supervise staff of 13+ full and part-time adult and teen staff
• Maintain pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions
• Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing organization at hearings
• Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
• Collaborate with New Settlement programs for full integration of Settlement House spirit
• Maintain and establish strong school and community partners in Bronx and New York City
• Foster cross-functional relationships and ensure managers and employees are properly connected
• Promote positive and open work environment where employees feel comfortable speaking up about issues
