Work History
Bright Horizons Family Solutons - Professional Nanny
Easton, PA, 12/2019 - 03/2020

Responsibilities included coming home and getting the kids up and ready for the day usually around 7 am, then we would sit and eat a balanced breakfast as a "family" so to say so they can get comfortable and eat with me. The siblings between the ages of 7-10 already knew the routine so they got in the car to go to school , but the younger kids needed help, you need to be patient with kids because they don't know what time is yet. They are precious pieces of our future and the way they see us is the way they will act because they copy what they see.

While the older kids are away at school its off for fun and games with the young ones. They require constant attentiveness and interaction time. For example if you want them to learn the colors of the rainbow while also throwing colorful toys and training their hand eye coordination you can also say "whats this color?" and make learning something fun and enjoyable. That is just one of many examples i used that worked well.

When the school day is over the kids get picked up at 3 and then dinner time and we did our homework for the night. After all our responsibilities were done then we could go watch tv for a half hour before the parents got home around 5-7, depending on the day.

Additional Information
  • My childhood may not have been the greatest but that doesn't mean I cant give that to a kid, that would be my greatest accomplishment yet, to make a kid so happy they forget they're being taken care of by someone other than their parent.
  • Out of 4 kids being the first born girl is a big responsibility because you learn everything your mother knows, you watch what she does and copy it down to the way she does but with her own twist.
  • I'd love to have the kids I nanny learn important life skills while having fun because that's how kids remember better, through real life examples they can relate to later in life because its easier for them to recall. And through positive reinforcement that is something that is a goal of mine everyday.
  • I am aware that I am at a disadvantage because of my age, however, I have references that could possibly persuade you to look my way. I am 21 years of age and do not have any kids of my own. (I have a cat I treat as a son but that's different) I also do not have a secondary job so you and your children would be my main focus. I am in Flatrock and to bloomfield hills its a 30 minute drive straight on telegraph for me. I am also the youngest one but I think a more modern take could also be used to teach children the importance of their futures.
