Additional Information

I love getting the oppurntunity to work with younger children. Part of the reason that i chose to

I love getting the opportunity to work with children, especially the younger ones. One reason that I love working with the younger children is the fact that they are so moldable. At those younger level grades the students are really laying the foundation for the rest of their academic and spiritual lives. These years are key years when considering how these years will affect their lives forever. As a future teacher I plan on teaching my students not only skills that will help them in their academic lives but also in their spiritual lives. As well as teaching them the basics such as learning to read, write, and do simple math, I plan on teaching them character traits such as responsibility, honesty, being a hard worker, and really helping them develop good godly character. I understand that these are key years for parents to be raising their children and I understand the responsibility that I have as being that childs teacher. I understand that raising children takes enormous responsibility and dedication and I want the parents to understand that I am willing to stand by them and put that same effort into teaching their child. I want my students to see the world through a christians perspective even in their preschool years because I believe that the child needs to see the world through the lenz of Scripture no matter what age they are. Another reason that I love the the younger children is the fact that they are so curious about God's Word and the world around them. What an amazing opportunity that I could have as that childs teacher to tell them BIble stories that they have never heard, to show them the beautiful world that God made, to explain to them that Jesus wants a personal relationship with each and every one of them, and to help them and guide them as their character develops. It pains me to hear people say that It is no big deal to send their young child to a public school because it should be the same as a Christian school. I assure you that my future classroom will not be the same as one in a public school setting, and if someone were to walk into my classroom I would hope that the difference would be very evident. I can not express how excited i am to be able to work in a Christian school someday. God has blessed me with some amazing opportunities in the past and I am beyond excited to see what He does with my future!
