Gilbert Unified School District - Patterson Elementary School (Nonda Chomokos-Prinicpal) August 1999 - December 2006
Nonda Chomokos asked me to pilot one of the four Responsibility Centers (RC) in the District. While work in the RC, I collaborated with Sue Noel, Reading Specialist, throughout my seven years as well as the school psychologist and speech pathologist, broadening my understanding of the entire education process and assisting students who require additional services. After graduating from ASU, I continued to earn my Reading Specialist Certification the following spring (2008). I have been able to utilize my Reading Specialist Certification as an ELA teacher at QCUSD, CGCC Adjunct Remedial Reading Instructor, and teaching overseas with non-English speaking students in Azerbaijan (Grades 4 & 5) and China (K-8).
