Duties: Served as a Human Resources Assistant in a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Provides administrative support to the reception-administration control desk (RACD), record maintenance and accountability, and enlistment processing to include fingerprinting of applicants. Greets and account for visitors/applicants in and out of MEP; muster applicants for processing and enlistment ceremonies, administer pre-oath briefings, also brief applicants on MEPS procedures. Question applicants to obtain and/or verify complete data required for final data processing of forms and records for entry into military service. Fingerprints applicants using automated systems, ensuring fingerprints are classifiable. Transmits fingerprints electronically to the investigating agency and initiates background checks. Verifies applicants’ emergency data records notes and correct any discrepancies when differences occur.

Screens applicants’ records to ascertain that all necessary documents are present according to the requirement of each military services. Operates a keyboard to record alpha and numeric data reflecting all aspects of the qualifications and enlistment data for entrants to all branches of the armed services. Transcribes data from numerous source documents which are completed by the applicant and/or military service representatives. Receives request for items in or completed applicant files. Search file and furnished requested documents to requestor. Files incoming materials in accordance with the established filing system. Assists with other section within the MEPS including testing and transportation when needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Duties: Advised the Command and Staff on personnel, promotion, and finance related matter to include strength levels of subordinate companies; reviewed consolidated promotions and financial reports, statistics, and prepared recommendations to higher echelons on personnel utilization; supervises, mentor, and counsels two Soldiers.

Processed and shipped over 14,500 applicants to nine basic training centers nationwide supporting all branches of military service; ensured all ground transportation utilized for the movement of applicants is government/Department of Defense approved via Surface Deployment Distribution Centers (SDDC); monitored airport delays, closures, and bus routes utilizing media and internet websites; ensured invoices were reconciled and properly certified IAW USMEPCOM Regulation 601-23; supervised one civilian and one Soldier.

Planned, coordinated, integrated and assessed the emplacement and operations of HR elements executing personnel accountability, casualty, and postal operations function; provided training technical guidance and assisted to supported HR G1/AGs and S1s; synchronized non-HR support requirements with other sustainment elements and organizations; planned, projected, and recommended HR support requirements for current and future military operations; responsible for the morale, health, welfare and training of two Non-Commissioned Officers.

Duties: Responsible for ensuring timely processing of various personnel actions to include: finance, promotions, leaves, awards and badges, retirement packets, service school packets, reassignment orders, and duty rosters. Responsible for HR database management; updated personnel accountability reports, personnel strength reports; responsible for the health, welfare and development of one Non-Commissioned Officer.

Responsible for assisting the SGS by managing the day-to-day coordination and execution of complex staff actions for the Headquarters staff. Provides technical information to the Commanding General (CG), Chief of Staff (COS), and subordinate brigades on the integration and coordination of information in support of actions.
Employs current, in-depth knowledge and understanding of staff action procedures and requirements as well as intimate understanding of the CG and COS's desires in determining the most efficient and effective method to accomplish mission. Applies in-depth knowledge of the organization and functions of the HQDA staff, HQ TRADOC, USACC, and subordinate brigades, and the relationship of HQ, USACC to other commands and staffs to schedule, coordinate and integrate actions and information critical to the command. Levels of actions often require extensive and sensitive coordination between the Headquarters and subordinate brigades as well as externally with HQ, TRADOC, HQDA, and other services.
