Housing and Occupancy Specialist for Section 8 clients and Homeless Veterans. Responsible for the Administration of the new Case Management Services for area Veterans seeking Housing Assistance. Briefed clients on the policies and procedures coming on to the Section 8 program. Provided case management services for 302 clients in Section 8 and approximately 70 Homeless Veterans. Processed eligibility documents. Completed monthly rent evaluations. Handled problems with clients and Landlords. Politely answered phones approximately 50-60 times daily, returned phone calls, brought clients in for Fraud meetings and Annual Recertification meetings each month. Had excellent phone and "people" skills winning the trust of clients and applicants alike. Responsible for putting together a fraud case with the HUD OIG Office of Denver to prosecute and convict Landlord and client which recovered thousands of dollars for our office. Re-did all dead files in main filing area and cleaned-up current filing area for A-K files.
