I began my working career at the young age of 15. Chipping, painting, greasing plows, washing tractors and combines changing oil and maintaining farm equipment. I had to walk levees clean out cut and maintain overflows.
At the age of 16 I went to work on a small work over rig. I was busting rods and laying them down as we had no rod basket. within a couple months I was in the derrick racking back, pumping kill fluid down hole and mixing cement for P and A wells.
At the age of 18 I went to work on drilling rigs. started as a shaker hand washing shaker screens and mixing chemicals. moved on the floor throwing tongs and spinning chains. wasn't long until I got in the derrick and had my own shaker hand to teach how to weigh the mud and follow the mud mixing recipes, and teach hoe to rebuild mud pumps and do it all safely. At 20 I was DA learning everything I could about well control and running a rig and crew. sadly this is where my rig career came to an end I got laid off nd rigs started stacking.
it was then I learned about trucking. I worked for a small dump truck company learned a little bit about it then started my own small company. from there I got into oil field trucking. I hauled flatbed , step deck and tanker trailers servicing the oil and gas industry. I did well for roughly 10 years with 5 trucks and drivers in those 10 years I had zero accidents or violations, but all good things come to an end. I sold out and went to being a company driver. I learned about hauling LPG and LNG, and petrochemicals , and crude oil.
I went to work for a coil tubing company in 2018. the company took a gamble hiring me as I had zero experience in coil tubing. I learned fast and went from ground hand to pump operator in two months. I never had a bad review. this year 2020 when then oil market crashed I made it through 4 rounds of layoffs at my company, I watched supervisor after supervisor , coil operator after coil operator hand after hand get laid off , hundreds get laid off many of them with way more experience than me. but sadly my number came up and terminal manager said he tried to keep me but wasn't able to, so here I am typing this resume looking for another job hoping you and your company will take a gamble on me, it will pay out I guarantee.
