Duties, responsibilities and accomplishments during my Reservists deployments have included but not limited to the following :

  • Deployments have encompassed all aspects of emergency management/disaster recovery to include Individual Assistance (IA) and Public Assistance(PA) with hurricanes, tornados, flooding, earthquakes and COVID 19 pandemic efforts.
  • Investigated practical and theoretical issues facing emergency services and identified effective resolutions.
  • Served in an on loan position with IA Cadre leasing, licensing to determine applicant household composition, as well as any access and functional needs. The position required travel meeting with applicants at the Damaged Dwelling Sites, to include Commercial and Private Mobile Home Parks,, Apartment Management Offices, Private Site Owners and Condo Management.
  • Maintained current understanding of local, state and federal guidelines for emergency response.
  • Assisted Site Inspectors SI, and Program Delivery Managers PDMG, with the input of data into Grants Manager Database.
  • Ensured and coordinated efforts and processes that each individual and family affected by the disaster had access to the full range of FEMA assistance programs in a timely and effective manner and provided top level customer service. Communicated case status and confirming all applicants understand the disaster assistance program.
