Vehicle Tracking Device: Developed firmware in C for a device capable of publishing driver behavior, vehicle location, and OBD data to QuantumIOT's cloud device management platform. I contributed to this project by developing firmware related to cellular communication, the MQTT client, FOTA, and COTA.
ACP Smart City Signs: Developed a 3G cloud connected product for an emerging smart road sign company providing a solution to remotely managing school zone flashers, detecting wrong way drivers, detecting icy roads, and detecting floods. I was is involved in all aspects of the project including client consultation, hardware design, software design in C++, and testing.
Smart Commercial Cooler: Developed a retrofit solution for commercial coolers to publish data to the cloud for remote cooler health & inventory monitoring, control, and customer behavior analytics. This system involved many sensors including weight, temp.,humidity, light, reed, CT, and motion. This system also made use of patented technology using cameras allowing image processing algorithms to monitor inventory. I was involved in installation, hardware design, embedded software design in Node.js & C++, and testing.
LoRaWan: Performed R&D work in LoRaWan wireless technology. In this work, I used off the shelf as well as developed an economical LoRaWan gateway to create private LoRaWan networks. I also developed various sensor nodes and a Node.js application to forward LoRaWan sensor node data to QuantumIOT's device management platform.
WiFi Networks: Assessed, analyzed, and improved WiFi networks for clients through the use of tools such as heat maps, scripts, etc.
Load Testing: Utilized various tools to load test a client's server under simulated heavy traffic.

I was particularly involved in design of HVAC control state machine, PID controller for variable cooling/heating HVAC equipment, and GUI. This product has been deployed in businesses such as Chuck E.
