  • Amperage to run is always based on the type of steel being plated and size of the parts weight + surface area.
  • Always let the steel warm up to tank temp and the typical start time ratio is , 3.2 for 1 min, 4.4 1 min., 6.0 for the duration adding .001 an hr. this is the basics for the majority of what's plated. You adjust amperage and run time accordingly to the size of the part and type of steel and finish required.
  • I've always been able to hit my mark within anything under .001 is considered a flash over .001 is a build . Anything being grounded should have a minimum of .005 per side grind stock.
  • I've plated professionally for 8 years ,but have been plating and working with grinders ,machinists, and polishers since I was 10 years old.
